Can this guy just do us all a favor and go back to the 1950s where he came from? The way he tells this story shows what an a-hole he really is.

He presents himself as this calm and logical center of his relationship and repeatedly paints his wife as an emotional child. It's extremely clear that he has bought into the rhetoric of the 1950s and thinks his wife is a rebellious teen at best. He doesn't treat her like an equal party making joint adult decisions.

He could be friends with the guy who kept trying to watch football when his wife went into labor and then tried lying about it.
